Autopsy: The Last Hours of...: Davy Jones
About
On the morning of February 29th, 2012, Davy Jones the idolized front man of the 60s pop phenomenon, The Monkees, died. He had been performing just days before and showed no signs of ill health. A working class kid from Manchester in the UK, Davy’s acting and singing talents garnered international acclaim and by 19 years-old, he was the first of four to be cast in the whacky TV show about a failing pop band, The Monkees. Performing as a solo artist & with the re-formed Monkees, Davy thrived on his love of entertaining. His sudden death from a catastrophic cardiac failure came completely out of the blue. In this episode, world-renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Hunter uses the autopsy and medical examiner’s report to uncover the hidden clues as to why Davy died at just 66 years old.
